Victory Baptist WMU will meet on the last Sunday of each month in 2016 (with the exception of March and December) following the morning service, 12:30-1:30.
A NEW HOPE PREGNANCY RESOURCE CENTER
Please pray forA New Hope Pregnancy Resource Center. Victory Baptist WMU visited with them recently to learn more about their ministry, new to Shepherdsville, and to lend a hand with a little house cleaning. A list of their current needs will be posted soon. Their client list is growing as more women learn about them, so please be in prayer for them!
Watch the documentary and learn what God is doing at Hosea’s House. This ministry is a tremendous blessing to women In need. I’m looking forward to going back there again. Please pray for this ministry! https://vimeo.com/m/108084980
Hosea’s House – Our first official visit to Hosea’s House in April was a huge success! We took brunch and spent 3 hours with the precious women that reside at the house. A film crew was also there shooting a documentary about this wonderful mission. We can’t wait to see the final product!
Our next visit with them is set for May 31 at 10 a.m. Jamie will be heading up this visit and can be reached at 502-836-2167.
Prison Outreach – We dropped off 48 encouraging cards addressed to women incarcerated at the Bullitt County Detention Center on May 10, the day before Mother’s Day. Please pray that that our words encouraged these women during a hard time in their lives.
New mission project – Bee Hive Assisted Living Home on Smyrna Parkway. If anyone is interested in visiting the ladies at Bee Hive, we can schedule something for June. The last time I was there with MFuge we painted their nails and that went over splendidly.
Thank you for your heart for women and missions.
Hosea’s House – The trip to Hosea’s House last weekend was such a blessing. There was a film crew there shooting a documentary all about the ministry. We will direct you to it when it becomes available. Please pray for the ladies there and for the ministry. They are going through some tough times and we want to walk with them and reflect Christ in our words and actions. They were in need of help transporting a swing set from a donor location to the house for the children of the residents. We connected them with the Victory Construction Outreach team and hopefully can get that swing set moved for the kiddos. Future visits will be on the last Saturday of each month.
Prison Ministry – There are some encouragement cards at Victory if anyone wants to write to some of the women that are incarcerated in the Bullitt County detention center. Especially with Mother’s Day coming up, we need to share the good news of God’s grace and salvation to moms that are in jail.
We will be going to Hosea’s House on Saturday, April 26 10am-noon. All are welcome to join us! We are taking refreshments and plan to just sit and talk with the residents and get to know them better!
Contact Stephanie (428-9254) if you want to join us. Meeting at Victory Baptist Church at 9:15.
